Bring Your Dog to Puppy Yoga + Brunch with BVSPCA — August 22
Share
Not every great dog day happens in a parking lot full of horsepower — some start with a yoga mat, a mimosa, and a lapful of wiggly puppies. On Saturday, August 22, 2026, the Brandywine Valley SPCA teams up with YogaSix for Puppy Yoga + Brunch from 9:45 AM to 12:00 PM at Harvest Seasonal Grill, 549 Wilmington Pike, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
We're Sniff & Shift, a family-owned dog-treat and e-collar brand from Malvern, PA, built around car culture and life on the road with a good dog. Our co-pilot Ella keeps us honest about one thing: the best outings are the ones that leave a tail wagging — and an event that pairs puppies with a good cause is about as feel-good as a Saturday gets.
What the morning looks like
Picture a gentle patio yoga flow with adoptable BVSPCA puppies on site, followed by brunch. It's $65 all-inclusive, with $25 of every ticket going straight to the shelter, and reservations are required via Resy. So this isn't a walk-up event — you'll want to book your spot ahead of time. The puppies you meet are looking for homes, which means your morning of stretching and snuggling does real good for dogs in the community.
A quick, honest note about your own dog
Because the stars of this show are adoptable shelter puppies — and it's a yoga-and-brunch setting at a restaurant — this is a place to go meet dogs more than to bring your own. If you're hoping to bring your personal pup along, check with the host first; a puppy-focused fundraiser at a dining venue may not be set up for outside dogs. Either way, it's a wonderful outing for anyone who loves dogs, and a low-key way to support rescue work right here in Chester County's backyard.
Why we love an event like this
Adoption events are the heart of the dog community. Even if you're not adding to the pack today, showing up, spreading the word, and chipping in helps get puppies into good homes. And who knows — sometimes the best co-pilot finds you when you least expect it.
Practical tips
- Reserve early. Spots are limited and booking is required through Resy — don't count on walking in.
- If you bring a dog, leash up and confirm first. Only bring your own dog if the host okays it, and keep them on a standard leash and calm around the puppies.
- Water and shade. Late-August mornings warm up; if dogs are present, have fresh water and a shady patio spot on hand.
- Mind hot pavement. Check the walk from the lot to the patio — sun-baked asphalt can burn paws.
- Never leave a dog in a parked car. Interiors overheat dangerously fast, even for a quick brunch. If your dog isn't attending, leave them home in the cool.
- Bring high-value treats. If your dog does come, reward calm manners. Our freeze-dried dog treats are single-ingredient and mess-free — great for a patio setting.
Before you go
Details and dog policies can change, so confirm timing, tickets, and whether personal dogs are welcome with the host before attending. The event is hosted by the Brandywine Valley SPCA and YogaSix — see the shelter's events calendar — and you can find the full listing on our Events Board event page.
