Bring Your Dog to Endless Summer Cruisin' — October 8

One last blast of summer before the season turns — that's the whole idea behind Endless Summer Cruisin'. The 29th annual edition brings 2,000+ hot rods and customs to the beach for four days of cruising all over Ocean City, Maryland, October 8–11, 2026, centered on the OC Inlet (809 S Atlantic Ave) with cars rolling citywide.

What it is

Endless Summer Cruisin' pairs a big Inlet show field with days of open cruising through town — boardwalk backdrops, ocean air, and the steady rumble of small-blocks and street rods. Because so much of the action spills onto public streets and the boardwalk, there's easy, open-air viewing where you and your co-pilot can post up, watch the parade of chrome, and take it all in at your own pace.

Why it's a great outing with a dog

A beach town in October is a gift for dogs — cooler temps, salt breeze, and long walkable stretches. Spectating from the boardwalk and public streets means you're not funneling through a tight, ticketed show floor, so you can find shade, keep moving, and bail out whenever your pup says it's time. New smells, big engines, and the sound of the surf make for one contented road dog.

Co-pilot tips for the boardwalk

  • Leash and stay back from the cruise. Cars are moving on public streets — keep your dog leashed and well clear of the travel lanes.
  • Bring water and a bowl. Sea air and steady walking add up; offer water often, and rinse sandy paws when you can.
  • Find the shade. The boardwalk bakes at midday — aim for morning and evening viewing and check that the boards and pavement aren't too hot for paws.
  • Mind the boardwalk crowds. Bikes, strollers, and foot traffic move fast — a short leash keeps your dog tucked in beside you.
  • Pack high-value treats. A pouch of freeze-dried dog treats is perfect for holding your dog's focus when a loud exhaust barks past — lightweight, single-ingredient, and no mess in your bag.
  • Never leave your dog in a parked car. Even a coastal October afternoon can turn a parked car into an oven — your co-pilot comes with you or waits back at the room.

Good to know

Heads up on dog policy — the listing marks this one Check with host: Street and boardwalk viewing is public; Inlet show-grounds dog policy unverified. Ocean City also has seasonal rules about dogs on the beach and boardwalk that shift through the year, so confirm both the event's pet policy with Special Event Productions and the town's current boardwalk/beach dog rules before you go. When in doubt, stick to the public-street spectating where leashed dogs are welcome.
