Bring Your Dog to Holley MoParty — September 18

If your co-pilot's idea of a perfect weekend is a big-block at full song and a swap-meet aisle that never quits, Holley MoParty is the pilgrimage. It's a weekend-long celebration of all things Mopar — drag racing, autocross, a sprawling car show, and a manufacturer midway packed with go-fast hardware — and in 2026 it takes over Beech Bend Raceway Park on Friday and Saturday, September 18–19.

What the day looks like

Beech Bend Raceway Park sits at 798 Beech Bend Rd in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and MoParty fills every corner of it. Picture orange-and-black as far as you can see: numbers-matching classic muscle, late-model Challengers and Chargers, wild race builds, and a Holley Performance Brands midway showing off the newest parts. Between the show field, the strip, and the autocross, it's an all-day, full-throttle festival — the kind of place you'll wear out your shoes before you run out of cars to look at. Should the co-pilot come?

Here's the straight talk. First, MoParty's dog policy isn't published, so this is a “call ahead” event — confirm the pet rules directly with the host before you load up. Second, and just as important: a dragstrip is loud. Open headers, a Christmas-tree launch, and back-to-back burnouts can be genuinely painful and frightening for a dog's ears, and there's no volume knob out there. If your dog is at all noise-sensitive, this is one to enjoy solo — and there's zero shame in leaving the pup home with a stuffed freeze-dried treat to keep things happy.

If you do bring a calm, crowd-and-noise-tested dog with the host's blessing, plan like a pro:

• Leash, always. Fixed leash, never a flexi, in a busy paddock full of moving cars and foot traffic.
• Water and shade first. Pack a collapsible bowl and plenty of water, and map out shaded spots — raceway grounds are wide-open and short on cover.
• Watch the pavement. September asphalt still bakes. Do the seven-second back-of-the-hand test; if it's too hot for your skin, it's too hot for paws.
• Consider ear protection and distance. Keep well back from the starting line, and if your dog uses muff-style ear protection, this is the day for it.
• High-value treats. Bring the good stuff to reward calm behavior and redirect attention when a loud pass rattles the windows.
• Never, ever leave a dog in a parked car. Not for “just one class,” not with the windows cracked. Interiors turn deadly fast.
