Bring Your Dog to Woofstock in Kennebunk — July 25

Some outings are car-culture days with dogs welcome. This one is the opposite — it's a dog day, top to bottom. Woofstock returns to Kennebunk, Maine on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on the grounds of the Animal Welfare Society. If you're pointing the car north for a summer road trip, this is a tail-wagging reason to make Southern Maine a stop.

What it is

Billed as Southern Maine's only free, dog-friendly family food and beer festival, Woofstock packs food trucks, local craft brews, live music, a dog agility course, and dozens of vendors onto the grounds of the Animal Welfare Society at 46 Holland Road, Kennebunk, ME. It runs rain or shine, and admission is free — an easy, low-pressure day where your dog is the guest of honor rather than an afterthought.

Why it's a great outing with your dog

Everything here is designed for dogs and the people who love them: an agility course to burn off energy, adoptable pups to meet, and a whole crowd of fellow dog folks. The event is explicitly dog-friendly — straight from the host's note: 'Explicitly dog-friendly; all dogs must be leashed — no retractable leashes.' So leave the retractable at home and bring a standard fixed-length leash for the day.

Co-pilot tips for a summer festival

A festival with food trucks, music, and an agility course is a lot of happy stimulation, so set your dog up to enjoy it. Keep to that fixed leash, carry water and a collapsible bowl, and find shade between activities — late-July Maine can still bring a warm afternoon. Mind hot pavement and blacktop; if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for paws. High-value, low-mess snacks are gold for redirecting attention around food trucks and other dogs — our freeze-dried dog treats are single-ingredient and crumb-light, perfect for a pocket or treat pouch. If you drove in, remember the non-negotiable: never leave your dog in a parked car, even briefly, even with the windows down.

Before you go

Festival details can shift year to year, so confirm the date, hours, and rules with the host before you make the drive.
