3D 500 ACA X-Tra Cut Compound is the heaviest cutting step, meant for damage a normal compound will not move. 3D lists it as a step one extra cutting body shop compound that cuts P1000 grit sandpaper or finer and removes sanding marks, deep scratches, oxidation and water spots, leveling the paint surface to create a more even finish. This is what a body shop reaches for after wet sanding, not what you use on a car that just needs a polish.

It runs on Alpha Ceramic Alumina abrasives, which 3D describes as removing surface imperfections swiftly without creating new damage in the process. Use it with a foam or wool pad on either a dual action or a rotary machine, and follow it with a finishing polish, since a cutting step this aggressive leaves haze behind by design. 3D lists it as low dusting, which keeps the cleanup from doubling the job. This is the gallon, the shop size for anyone correcting cars week after week rather than once.
