Ella Run: a free dog game
Ella Run is a free dog game from the Sniff and Shift garage, played right here in the browser with no download and no account. Ella rides shotgun in the red coupe; you tap or press Space to hop over cones and potholes and catch the freeze-dried treats as they fly by. Runs last as long as your reflexes do, and the best scores land on the board below.
How to play
Tap anywhere on the game, or press Space on a keyboard, to jump. Cones and potholes end the run. Treats add to your score. That is the whole rulebook; the rest is timing.
Why a dog game on a treat shop
Ella is the real dog behind Sniff and Shift, a Chester County kitchen that makes single-ingredient freeze-dried treats and rides to car shows on weekends. The game started as an easter egg on the site and people kept finding it, so it now has a home of its own. If you found it by tapping the logo five times, you know the secret handshake.
The board and the monthly prize
This month's board sits below the game and fills in as soon as you start a run. Scores reset each calendar month, and when the month closes a 10 dollar Sniff and Shift gift card goes to the highest player who has not already won this year, one per person per calendar year, players 18 and over. Entry is free and skill is the only thing that counts; the full terms are on the Ella Run rules page. Names are chosen by players and screened automatically at signup; keep it clean and it stays up.
After the run: the treats in the game are real. The freeze-dried dog treats are made in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and the Pit Crew Posts blog is where Ella's actual weekends live.
