Sniff and Shift Community Content Terms

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply to content you choose to share publicly through the Sniff and Shift app or sniffandshift.com: your pack name, Journey Wall posts, photos, shared routes and their ratings and tips, comments and paws, check-ins, shared car profiles (My Ride), shared dog profiles (Co-Pilot Spotlight), leaderboard entries, and community map pins such as dog parks, bag-drop bins, car washes, events, places, and E85 stations ("Community Content"). Anything the app keeps private on your device, such as your VIN, maintenance and build logs, your activity log, your location history, and any profile you have not shared, is not Community Content and is never collected or used by us.

2. You own your content

You keep all ownership rights in what you create and share. These terms are a license, not a transfer.

3. The license you give us

By sharing content publicly through the app or website, you grant Sniff and Shift a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable (to our service providers) license to use, host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, cropping, resizing, or formatting), publish, publicly display, and distribute that Community Content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting Sniff and Shift. This includes featuring it in the app, on sniffandshift.com, in our emails and newsletters, and on our social media channels (including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Snapchat), with or without your pack name shown as credit. This license is granted without compensation to you.

4. What you promise about what you share

When you share Community Content, you confirm that: you created it or otherwise have the right to share it and to grant this license; it does not infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright, trademark, or privacy rights; any identifiable person appearing in it has consented to being shared; and it is accurate to your knowledge, family-friendly, and appropriate for all ages.

5. Removing your content

You can unshare or delete your Community Content at any time in the app, and it will stop being publicly displayed there. Deleting content ends our future use of it, but content already included in marketing materials created while it was shared (for example, an existing social media post) may remain. To request removal from marketing uses, email marketing@sniffandshift.com and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request.

6. Moderation

All Community Content is screened automatically before publishing, and we may remove, decline, or edit-for-display any content at any time to keep the community family friendly and accurate.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continuing to share Community Content after an update means you accept the updated terms.
