Our treats, made in Malvern

Every bag starts in our kitchen in Malvern, Pennsylvania, where we freeze-dry beef liver, chicken hearts, chicken feet, sardines, cheddar, and more. We are a small operation working out of a garage, with a red car and our tester dog Ella riding along to car shows and trailheads to try each new batch. Nothing about that changes when a partner maker joins the site. We still bag and ship our own treats ourselves, and we still say so plainly. If you are new here, the short version is a small freeze-dried treat maker with a garage instead of a factory, and a lot of trailheads logged in a red car.

American Dog: USA-made toys

American Dog describes its toys as USA-made. The line covers plush toys and rope toys, built for dogs that like to carry, tug, and shake. As with any toy, keep an eye on wear over time and retire anything that starts coming apart. Supervise play and size up for strong chewers.

2 Hounds Design makes its harnesses in North Carolina with globally sourced materials. The Indian Trail, North Carolina, maker also makes collars and leashes, sold through Shopify Collective and shipped directly from 2 Hounds Design with its own tracking. Not made or shipped by Sniff and Shift. Sizing runs by measurement rather than by breed: for a harness, measure the largest part of the chest behind the front legs and choose the smallest size that still fits; for a martingale collar, choose the smallest size that still slips over your dog's head.

Why we say it this way

We could round all of this up into one blanket claim, but we would rather point to what each maker actually says about its own products. American Dog and SodaPup use the words made in the USA and American-made in their own listings, so we use the same words when we describe their gear. Other partner makers on our site describe their manufacturing differently, and we use their words for their products too. Our treats are the one thing we can speak to directly, because we make them ourselves in Malvern. If a claim is not in a maker's own product listing, we leave it out rather than guess at it or round it up to sound better than it is.
