Open Farm states shoppers can "trace the source of every ingredient in every bag instantly by scanning the lot code." It also describes its welfare standard as Certified Humane, its seafood as Ocean Wise recommended, and its recipes as non-GMO. These are Open Farm's own claims; we have not audited its farms or facilities.

Wet cat food

Ten wet cat recipes cover 2.8 ounce pates in Chicken & Salmon, Chicken & Beef, Harvest Chicken, Homestead Turkey, Wild-Caught Salmon, and Kitten, plus 5.5 ounce rustic blends in Chicken & Salmon, Homestead Turkey, Grass-Fed Beef, and Wild-Caught Salmon.

Toppers and bone broth

Three 3.17 ounce cat toppers, Arctic Char, Salmon, and Salmon & Cod, add moisture to a bowl. Two 12 ounce bone broths, Beef and Chicken, work as a hydration add-on for dogs or cats.

Open Farm states its recipes are made at partner facilities in the United States, Canada, and Iceland. The Family Pet, in Nanuet, New York, sells these products through Shopify Collective; read more on our Meet The Family Pet page. Orders ship within two business days with tracking, and returns follow the standard 30-day Collective policy handled by that supplier. The food is made by the brand on the bag, not by Sniff and Shift, and we do not stock or ship it. Orders usually leave The Family Pet within two business days with their own tracking; the rate is set at checkout and does not count toward free treat shipping.
