Easter With the Dog

The short version

Easter at Sniff and Shift is rabbit ears and a treat hunt in the yard. The ears are a light whole chew dried in our Malvern, Pennsylvania kitchen, the quail eggs are the egg shaped treat, and the guides below cover what stays out of the basket, the Easter table, the photo and the cat.

What stays out of the basket

The Easter basket is candy, plastic grass and foil, so the dog's basket gets built separately.

What to hand the dog instead

Our guide to Easter dog treats covers which one suits which dog.

The day itself

Why rabbit ears

It is the one Easter treat that is exactly what it says. Each ear is a whole natural chew rather than a cut or ground product, so shape and size vary from ear to ear, and most dogs finish one in a few minutes. Hand one over when you can stay and watch, and keep the pouch of cheddar for the hunt.

Easter toys

From American Dog, the Carrot and the Lucky Dog Carrot Plushie. American Dog items are sold and shipped by American Dog through Shopify Collective, not made or shipped by Sniff and Shift.

Shipping

Treats leave our kitchen within one business day. The toys ship from American Dog on their own schedule, so order those first if they are going in a basket.

After Easter

Spring starts the day after Easter Sunday. The spring page takes over with shed season in the car, Wash Bay detailing and the first road trips of the year. Until then, the whole freeze-dried treats line is here.
