Easter Dog Treats: Rabbit Ears Arrive This Spring

Every spring we start thinking about easter dog treats that fit how we actually live: our freeze-dried treats made in a Malvern kitchen, a dog who rides shotgun in the Camaro, and no interest in anything with a long ingredient label. Rabbit Ears Dog Chews are the treat we are watching this year, and they arrive for the season rather than sitting on a shelf waiting for a date on a calendar.

A light chew arrives for the season

Rabbit Ears Dog Chews are built around one idea: a light chew that fits spring better than the heavier chews we usually carry through the colder months. They arrive for the season, made in small batches the way we do everything else in the kitchen. There is no date attached to when they show up, just the season itself, so keep an eye on the Rabbit Ears Dog Chews page if you want to grab a bag as soon as they land.

We started making seasonal single ingredient treats because our own dog Ella goes through phases, some months she wants a heavier chew after a long drive, other months a lighter one fits the weather and the pace of the day better. Spring is a lighter season around here. The Camaro comes out more, the drives get longer, and the chews we hand out tend to match that lighter mood. Rabbit Ears Dog Chews were built with exactly that in mind.

Most of what we make in the kitchen is not seasonal at all. The beef liver, the cheddar bites, the beef heart, all of that runs year round because it works year round. A small handful of items get built around a specific stretch of the calendar instead, and this is one of them. We like doing it that way because it gives us a reason to try something new without changing the treats that already work for people.

What goes in the pouch

Our own single ingredient treats go in the pouch first. Rabbit Ears Dog Chews lead the list this season, alongside two treats we make year round in the same Malvern kitchen.

All three travel well, which matters more than it sounds like it should once you have spent a season handing treats out of a glovebox on the way to a car show. Nothing here needs to be kept cold or handled carefully. You open the bag, you hand one over, and you close the bag again.

A simple spring routine

We keep our own spring routine simple: a drive with the windows cracked, a stop somewhere with grass, and a pouch of freeze-dried treats in the door pocket. Rabbit Ears Dog Chews fit right into that, a chew you can hand over at the end of a walk without thinking too hard about it. Our full lineup of freeze-dried dog treats covers the rest of the pouch, from the cheddar bites to the beef heart, so there is always something on hand between seasonal releases.

Ella has her own opinions about the order things happen in on a drive, and the treat usually comes after the stop by the lake, not before. She will sit by the wheel of the Camaro and wait for it, which is about as patient as a doodle gets. If you want to see where other car people and their dogs are showing up this season, our events board is the place we keep that list, updated as we hear about new ones.

None of this requires much planning. A pouch, a bag of treats, and a route that ends somewhere with a bit of grass covers most of what a spring afternoon with a dog needs. The chew changes with the season. The rest of the routine mostly does not.

Questions

When do Rabbit Ears Dog Chews arrive?

They arrive for the spring season. We do not have an exact date to give you, since it depends on how the batch comes together in the kitchen, so the best way to know is to check the product page directly and watch for the update.

What is in Rabbit Ears Dog Chews?

Like the rest of our treats, they are single ingredient and freeze-dried in small batches in our Malvern kitchen. We keep the ingredient list short on purpose across everything we make, and this one is no exception.

Can I get other treats while I wait?

Yes. Our cheddar cheese bites and beef heart treats are both available now and make a good starting pouch before the seasonal chew lands. Either one travels well in the car and holds up over a full weekend of stops, and both are made in the same small batches in our Malvern kitchen as everything else we sell.
