Mae, my beloved five year old pitbull boxer rescue is experiencing her first trip to the beach. Set in North Carolina, we stepped onto the beach yesterday to spend a few hours swimming, and digging in the sand. Mae decided to turn on her favorite mood: menace behavior. High energy, loud and excited barking, jumping up and down. When Mae decides to enact her menace persona, she is often unsatisfied with any toy, or stimulation I give her. She was hunting for one thing…. cheese. Sniffing past my leg onto my beach chair, digging behind my back where she knew I was hiding the cheese. I caved, how could I not? Sandy paws, and a panting doe eyed Mae Mae was staring me down. Long story short, she ate half the bag. 10/10.
