A real interior detail runs a route, not a checklist. You start at the top of the dash and finish at the rubber mats, and each stop on that route wants a different bottle. Xpress Interior Cleaner takes the hard plastics, Upholstery Shampoo takes cloth and carpet, Shape-Up takes rubber and vinyl trim, and the air freshener goes on once everything else is done. Dash down to mats, and why the route matters
Gravity decides the order. Anything you knock off the dash lands on the seat, anything you lift out of the seat lands in the carpet, and anything you dress too early picks up the dust you have not moved yet. Work top to bottom once and you touch each surface a single time.
This is for the owner who has decided to spend an afternoon on the inside of the car. If what you actually want is a ten minute wipe before someone rides with you, buy the wipes instead and keep the gallons for the real session. Plastics, cloth, rubber, then the air
Xpress Interior Cleaner is the general one, and it comes as a gallon rather than a trigger bottle, which is the size that stops you rationing it across a dash, four door cards and a console. P&S states it "safely cleans leather, vinyl, plastic, rubber, and other interior materials without the risk of discoloration or damage," and describes the result as a clean factory fresh interior with an original OEM finish, never glossy. Spray it onto the towel, not onto the panel, so it does not run down into switch gear or speaker grilles. No dilution ratio appears in the P&S product text for it, so follow whatever the label on your jug says and do not invent one.
Upholstery Shampoo handles cloth seats and carpet, and it is a concentrate rather than a ready to use spray. P&S says "intense foam loosens and lifts the dirt from even deep carpet," which is the point of foam: the soil in a car seat sits down at the base of the pile, not on the surface where a damp towel can reach it. Agitate with a brush, then blot. Soaking a seat is how you end up with a wet foam cushion and a smell in three days. P&S states it is pH balanced for use on all carpet materials and safe on all colors. Test a hidden corner anyway, and keep it off suede and Alcantara.
Shape-Up is the dressing, and it goes on last among the cleaning products because a dressing over dirt just glues the dirt down. P&S describes it as conditioning, softening, preserving and protecting all leather, vinyl or rubber surfaces, and as a water based silicone dressing suitable for every dressing application. Rubber floor mats, door sills and the vinyl on older trim are where it earns its place. Keep it off the pedals and off the steering wheel. A slick pedal is the one mistake on this page that can actually hurt you.
The air freshener goes last, full stop. 3D describes it as an all natural air freshener where the scent comes from organic aromatic oils, and as a long lasting non toxic formula that is water based and non staining. 3D lists it for cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, boat cabins and aircraft, and also for homes and shops, so the bottle outlives the detail. Skip it entirely if you like the smell of a clean car and nothing else, which is a defensible position.

What is not in here
No brushes, no vacuum, no extractor. Most interior kits sold online pad the box with a drill brush and a set of soft detailing brushes, and they are genuinely useful, but a brush you already own works and a vacuum is the one tool nobody ships in a kit. Buy the chemistry here and use the tools in your garage.
There is also no glass cleaner, which looks like a hole. It is deliberate. Glass wants its own bottle and its own pass at the end, after the dressing has stopped throwing overspray, and mixing it into the interior run is how you end up cleaning the windshield twice.
The afternoon, step by step
Empty the car first. Mats out, seats forward, everything out of the door pockets and the console, because you cannot clean around objects and you will not move them later. Vacuum dry and thoroughly, then start on the hard surfaces with the interior cleaner on a folded towel, flipping to a clean face as it loads up. Seats and carpet come next with the shampoo, one panel at a time, agitated and blotted rather than flooded. Leave the doors open while it dries. Dress the rubber and vinyl only once the surfaces are dry to the touch, then walk away for an hour and come back with the air freshener.
What it replaces
The cabinet. Most people doing this job for the first time already own four or five half used trigger bottles bought one emergency at a time, none of which is the right product for the surface in front of them. One gallon of interior cleaner, one concentrate for fabric and one dressing covers every interior surface in the car and keeps covering them for years rather than months. The air freshener is the only piece here you will finish quickly.
Questions
Can I use the interior cleaner on the touchscreen?
No. P&S lists leather, vinyl, plastic and rubber, and a coated infotainment screen is none of those in the way that matters. Use a dry microfiber towel on the screen and keep the spray well away from it.
Do I need the upholstery shampoo if my seats are leather?
Not for the seats. You still want it for the carpet and the mats, since those are cloth in almost every car with leather seating. For the seats themselves the two step leather routine is the right answer, and that is a different kit.
Will the air freshener cover a smell I have not cleaned?
Briefly, and then you have two smells instead of one. Odor lives in fabric, so the shampoo step is what fixes it. Scent is the finish, not the repair.
