The 12 Days of Sniffmas is a dog advent calendar with twelve numbered, perforated doors and a different single ingredient freeze dried treat behind each one, made in small batches in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Pre-orders are open, every dog treat advent calendar ships free on December 1, and the first door opens December 13.
Behind each door is a three inch cubby holding one heat-sealed bag of about a quarter ounce of a treat from our regular lineup, so the dog opens something new every day through Christmas Eve. The box is 10.5 by 14.25 by 3.5 inches, and the route-map card behind door one tells the story of the countdown. The calendar is $69.99 and ships free.
What is inside
Twelve different treats from our regular freeze dried lineup, one per door, drawn from this pool: beef liver, beef heart, green tripe, cheddar bites, quail eggs, sardines, sardine heads, anchovies, minnows, shrimp, scallops, blue-lipped mussels, baby octopus and frog legs. The exact door-by-door list is posted here once the run is packed.

The calendar grew out of 24 Days of Shiftmas, the countdown we started as a story on the blog. For the days after the last door, the dog stocking stuffers guide lists what else fits in a sock, and the Christmas page has the rest of the season.

Yes. Each treat is sealed in its own bag inside its door, so the calendar sits on a shelf or a counter at room temperature. Keep it dry and out of the dog's reach; the doors are perforated cardboard, not dog proof.
