P&S Upholstery Shampoo, Gallon

Upholstery Shampoo is the foaming carpet and cloth cleaner in the P&S Pro Series, made by P&S. Foam is doing the work here rather than water: the maker says "intense foam loosens and lifts the dirt from even deep carpet," which is what you want when the soil is down at the base of the pile rather than sitting on top. P&S describes it as "a high sudsing, 20 to 1 concentrate, rug and upholstery cleaner for carpets and cloth interiors," and says it "contains a mild deodorant and detergent."

The dilution is stated by the maker at 20 to 1, so a gallon of concentrate turns into a great deal of finished shampoo. Mix into a labeled bottle, work it into the carpet or cloth seat with an upholstery brush, and either extract or blot with clean towels rather than soaking the padding, since anything left wet under a seat will find its way back as an odor. The maker states it is "safe on all colors, pH balanced for use on all carpet materials"; test an unseen area anyway.
