Gift Cards for Dog People, Cat People and Their Co-Pilots

A gift card is the one thing in this shop that fits every dog. It goes out by email, it works on everything on the site, from the freeze-dried beef liver to the advent calendar to a Modified Monthly box, and the dog does the choosing through the person who feeds it.

How it works

  1. Pick an amount: $10, $25, $50, $75, $100, $150 or $200.
  2. Pick who it is for. One design says it is for the dog or the cat, the other says it is for the person. The card works the same either way.
  3. Add your note at checkout. Choose "send as a gift", type the recipient's email and your message, and set a send date if you want it to land on the morning itself.
  4. The code arrives by email with the design you picked. There is no fee, and we do not set an expiration date.
  5. They paste the code into the gift card field at checkout. Any balance left over stays on the card for the next order.

Eight occasions

Each design carries one occasion and the Ella in the Camaro logo. Nothing else is printed on it, so your note is the message.

  • Christmas. Red band, a tree, and room for the dog's name in your note.
  • Hanukkah. Blue band with a menorah.
  • Kwanzaa. Green band with the kinara and its seven candles.
  • New Year. Gold band and stars, for the dog who stayed up.
  • Birthday. A cake, one candle, no frosting on the floor.
  • Gotcha Day. The adoption anniversary. A heart with a paw in it, because that is the whole story.
  • Get Well. A bandage for the dog on crate rest, or the person who is.
  • Thank You. A checkered flag, for the dog sitter, the trainer, the neighbor who found the dog in the first place.

For the dog or cat, or for the person

Most of what we sell is eaten by the dog and bought by the person, so we made two versions of every design. The dog or cat version says so on the card and is the one to send when the gift is really for Ella, Zippy or the cat who runs the house. The person version is for the friend who likes picking their own treats, the car person with a new puppy, or the host who put up with your dog at Thanksgiving. Both spend the same way, on treats, chews, bundles, the gift box, the advent calendar and the partner brands we carry.

The holidays

Thanksgiving is November 26, and treats ordered by December 15 ship in time for Christmas. A gift card has no shipping cutoff at all: buy it on December 24 and it arrives by email, with your note, before anyone is awake. Discount codes do not apply to gift card purchases, and gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.

Mailed, with a card, or both

Email is the default and the fastest. If you would rather hand someone an envelope, choose "printed and mailed" on the card above and we print the code on a card and mail it free from our Malvern, Pennsylvania kitchen, within 1 to 3 business days. The email still arrives, so nothing is lost in the post. Add a greeting card with your note written by hand ($5, or $10 for a pop-up or premium card), and if you made a free e-card for the order, tick the box and we print it and tuck it in too.

Add a free e-card to it

Every gift card can carry one of our free e-cards as well: ten occasions, four looks, your note up to 500 characters. Tick "Add a free e-card" under the Add to cart button and the name and email you typed above carry over. See the designs, or click here for directions (opens in a new tab).
