P&S calls it the all in one interior quick detail clean and shine product, and states it quickly and effectively removes dirt and grime from leather, vinyl and plastic, leaving behind a conditioned, dressed appearance once cleaned. P&S says to shake it well before use and to spray it onto the surface or onto an applicator. Use it on the door cards, the sills, the lower dash and the plastic in the load area, which is where a dog makes contact and where a general wipe down never quite reaches.
Terminator is the fabric step and the one that changes the result. P&S states it comes ready to use with no dilution required, and describes its enzyme package as engineered to break down organic fat, starch and protein based stains in carpets and upholstery. Dog soil is that chemistry. Method matters more than product here: pre treat the spot, give the enzymes a few minutes of dwell time on the fibers, agitate with a brush, then extract or shampoo the area. Do not let it dry on the fabric, and test a hidden section of any colored cloth first. Odor almost always has a mark underneath it, and finding that mark beats treating the whole seat.
Odor X goes last, and 3D is clear about what it is doing. The maker describes it as a product that removes odors by breaking down the molecules that make up the root cause of the odor, using a bacterial enzyme formula rather than a fragrance. That distinction is the whole reason it is in this kit instead of an air freshener. Mist it onto cleaned fabric, into the carpet and lightly across the load area. For a bad one, 3D says to spray and massage the product into the cloth and to repeat as needed rather than expecting a single pass to fix it. Then leave the doors open and let the car breathe.
What is not in the kit
No ozone generator, no fragrance bomb, no scented card. An ozone machine is equipment, and it wants a car that is already clean to be worth hiring. A fragrance product over a dirty seat is the exact mistake this page is written against. A Saturday in the driveway
Take everything out first, including the trunk liner and the mats, and vacuum before any liquid goes near the fabric. Wet hair is far harder to lift than dry hair.
- Strip the car and vacuum thoroughly, with a crevice tool down the seat seams.
- Hard surfaces with the interior cleaner, working the door cards and sills properly.
- Find the marks on the fabric, treat each one, let the enzymes sit for as long as the label says.
- Blot, then let the fabric dry before you judge anything.
- Mist the odor eliminator across the dry fabric and carpet.
- Leave the doors and the tailgate open for an hour, in the shade, before you put the mats back.

Questions about dog smell
Why does my car smell of dog after a wash?
Damp reactivates what is already in the fabric. Water alone does not remove the oils, it just wets them again, which is why enzyme treatment matters rather than more shampoo.
Do seat covers solve this?
They stop it getting worse, and they do nothing about what is already in the seat. Clean the car first, then cover it. Wash the cover on a schedule you will keep.
How long before the car stops smelling?
