How long does a bag last once opened?

Reseal it after each session and keep it cool and dry, and use it within a few weeks of opening for the crispest texture. No refrigeration is needed. The 1.5 ounce bag is the try-first size; 3 and 6 ounces are for dogs that have already voted.

Beef liver or beef heart?

Liver for the reward that has to land: stronger smell, softer break. Heart for a firmer snap and a milder smell, which suits dogs that get too excited on liver. Many people run both and rotate.

If you have been buying dehydrated beef liver or beef liver bites, this is the freeze dried version of the same organ meat, in bites you can split for training. Beef liver is the freeze dried liver treat we point new customers to first: it smells strong, breaks into pea-sized training pieces, and comes in 1.5, 3 and 6 ounce bags.

Liver is one of our two best sellers by units, and it earns the spot at training time. The pieces are medium sized and break apart in your fingers, so one piece turns into several rewards. They are light and dry instead of greasy, which matters when the bag lives in a jacket pocket.
