Valentine's Day With the Dog

The short version

Valentine's Day at Sniff and Shift starts with the most literal treat we make: freeze-dried beef heart, one ingredient, from our Malvern, Pennsylvania kitchen. Add the strawberry heart Pup-Ornaut, a bandana for the photo and a few heart toys from a partner we carry, and the dog is covered for February without a candy heart anywhere near it. The guides below cover the table, the photo, the party and the drive.

What the dog can have from the Valentine table

The Valentine table is mostly dessert, so the short rule is easy: keep the sweets, the chocolate and the wine on your side of the table, and hand the dog something from the bag instead.

What to hand the dog instead

Everything in the Valentine dog treats collection is picked for the month. Our guide to Valentine dog treats walks through which one suits which dog.

Gifts for the people

Heart toys

From American Dog: Rainbow Furever Hearts, Nuggle Hearts, Heart of Stone, Conversation Hearts and the Pink Heart Plushie. American Dog items are sold and shipped by American Dog through Shopify Collective, not made or shipped by Sniff and Shift.

Treats leave our kitchen within one business day. Partner toys ship from American Dog on their own schedule, so order those first if they are gifts.

After Valentine's Day

March brings the pot of gold. The St Patrick's Day page takes over on March 1 with gold treat coins for the dog. Until then, the whole freeze-dried treats line is here.
