Purina Pro Plan Weight Management Shredded Blend Chicken and Rice Formula Dog Food

Purina Pro Plan Weight Management Shredded Blend Chicken and Rice Formula Dog Food is a dry kibble made for overweight or less active adult dogs. The bag weight is printed on the label.

Purina names chicken as the first ingredient and says each serving contains 15 percent less fat than its Pro Plan Complete Essentials Chicken and Rice Formula. Purina states this recipe is "formulated to provide 100 percent complete and balanced nutrition for overweight or less active adult dogs," fortified with what it calls guaranteed live probiotics for gut microbiome resilience, plus natural prebiotic fiber and Omega-6 fatty acids and vitamin A for skin and coat.

Purina's marketing copy names chicken as the first ingredient, but the product listing does not include a full ingredient panel; we are not inventing one. Purina says the reduced-fat formula is meant to help a dog maintain lean muscle mass while managing its weight. Feeding amounts are printed on the bag; talk to your veterinarian before switching your dog to a weight-management diet.
