Twenty minutes is the budget, so the kit has to fit inside it. Three products, three passes, no bucket and no hose. A gel wheel cleaner works while you walk around the car. A canister of interior wipes covers the surfaces your hands actually touch, and a detailer goes on panel by panel and gets wiped through. Why wheels come first when time is short
Clean wheels change how the whole car reads from ten feet away, more than a clean hood does. They are also the one area where five minutes of chemical dwell does the work for you while you are somewhere else. Spray, walk away, come back. Nothing else in a fast detail gives you that much return for that little attention, which is why it leads rather than finishes.
Three products and nothing else
P&S Brake Buster is the pint that starts the clock. P&S describes it as "a unique cleaning gel that adheres to the wheel surface and penetrates the dirt deposits to clean them away". P&S also states it "safely removes accumulated brake dust, oil, dirt, stains and light corrosion from premium quality wheels without damaging the delicate surface". According to P&S it leaves behind a thin layer of corrosion inhibitors as well. Gel matters here because it stays where you sprayed it instead of running down the barrel.
P&S Xpress Interior Wipes handle the cabin. The canister holds 150 pre moistened sheets from the Double Black collection and P&S developed them for leather, vinyl and plastic. In twenty minutes you get one pass: wheel, shifter, console, door handles, cupholders. That is the list, and it is ordered by what a passenger touches. Leave the wipes out if your car lives outside and the interior never gets used.
P&S Pit Stop is the exterior pass. P&S describes it as a detail spray that removes dirt, fingerprints, dust and smudges, and here it is used on a car with light dust rather than road grime. Mist one panel, wipe through with a folded towel, flip, buff. If the towel drags or the panel feels gritty, stop. That car needs a wash, and a detailer on grit is how swirl marks happen.
What twenty minutes cannot include
No wax, no clay, no compound. Every one of those is worth doing and none of them belongs in a routine you run on a Wednesday evening. The twenty minutes, in order
Minute one, wheel cleaner on all four, front faces and as far into the barrel as you can reach. Minutes two to six, interior wipes while it dwells. Minute seven, rinse the wheels if you have a hose or wipe them down if you do not. Minutes eight to eighteen, the detailer, roof down to rockers, one panel at a time with two towels. Last two minutes, glass on the inside of the windshield and the mirrors.
Set a timer on your phone for the first few runs. Twenty minutes sounds generous until you spend eight of them on one wheel, and the whole point of this routine is that it ends on schedule.
What the routine replaces
Not a full detail. The thing it actually replaces is the drive through wash you were going to use on a Friday, which puts spinning brushes on your paint and leaves the wheels exactly as they were. Done every week or two, this routine also means the eventual proper detail takes an afternoon rather than a weekend, because nothing has had a month to bond on.

Can I use the wipes on the steering wheel?
Yes, and it is the first thing worth wiping. P&S developed them for leather, vinyl and plastic, which covers most wheels, though a suede or alcantara rim wants its own product.
What if the car is properly dirty?
Then this is the wrong kit for today. A detailer on a car carrying road film pushes grit across the paint, so wash it first and come back to this routine next week.
How many towels does a fast detail need?
Four, minimum. Two for the detailer pass, one for glass, one spare. Running out halfway is what makes people reuse a dirty towel and undo the whole point.
