Enrichment starter kit: lick mat, slow feeder, treat toy, treats
Share
Enrichment keeps a dog occupied when you are busy or away. Our freeze-dried treats load into lick mats, slow feeders, and rubber toys, then you rotate which toys appear to keep engagement fresh.
Two mats for variety
The SodaPup Sky eMat at $16.99 is 8 inches square with a cloud and celestial pattern in light blue. The Zombie eMat at $15.99 or $16.99 depending on color has a skull pattern in black or orange. Both are made from TPE, dishwasher-good, freezer-good, and hold peanut butter, yogurt, or freeze-dried treats spread across the pattern.
Rotate which mat appears each day. Your dog treats each one as novel because the pattern is different.
Two bowls for different meals
The Garden Design eTray at $19.99 is a shallow slow feeder 8 inches across with a botanical pattern in light green. It holds 2.25 cups and works for flat-faced breeds, puppies, seniors, or fast eaters.
The Mandala eTray at $17.99 is also shallow at 8 inches across but holds 1 cup. It comes in blue, pink, green, purple, or yellow. The shallow depth suits all mouth shapes. Both are dishwasher-good and freezer-good, so you can load them with kibble, wet food, or a frozen mix.
Two toys for multiple dogs
The SodaPup Sugar Skull at $16.99 holds 6 ounces and works for dogs 30 to 65 pounds. The Football at $15.99 also holds 6 ounces and works for medium to large dogs. Both are rubber, dishwasher-good, freezer-good, and made by SodaPup.
Fill both toys with kibble or peanut butter, freeze for two to four hours, and present them at the same time. Your dog has two occupied toys instead of one, and engagement lasts longer.
The treats that load everything
The Cheddar Bites 3-Pack at $40.50 is freeze-dried cheddar cheese in three bags. Crumble one bag across a lick mat before freezing. Use another bag mixed into a slow feeder filled with kibble. Freeze-dried treats work in any enrichment setup because they do not turn to paste like wet food and stay shelf-stable like kibble.
How to rotate enrichment
Monday: Sky eMat with peanut butter and the Sugar Skull filled with frozen kibble. Tuesday: Mandala eTray filled with kibble and the Football with frozen cheddar. Wednesday: Zombie eMat with crumbled cheddar and the Sky eMat with frozen peanut butter. Thursday: Garden Design eTray with wet food. Friday: Both toys side by side with different fillings. Weekend: All three systems at once if you need a full hour.

Questions
How long does one enrichment setup keep a dog occupied?
One lick mat lasts five to ten minutes unfrozen, fifteen to twenty frozen. One slow feeder lasts ten to thirty minutes depending on kibble size. One frozen toy lasts thirty minutes or longer. Set up all three at once and your dog has sustained occupation for an hour.
Can I use the same filling every day?
Yes, but dogs notice novelty. Rotate which toy gets which filling, or which mat gets peanut butter versus crumbled treats. Your dog treats rotation as new even if the setup is identical the day before.
Which bowl works for puppies?
The Mandala eTray at 1 cup is better for puppies because it is shallower and smaller. The Garden Design eTray at 2.25 cups works for older puppies. Both are dishwasher-good and grow with your dog.
Do I need both toys?
One toy is enough for one dog. Two toys matter if you have multiple dogs so both can have occupied play at the same time, or if you want one thawing while the other is in use.
Can I prep enrichment in advance?
Yes. Fill both toys and freeze them overnight. Fill a lick mat with peanut butter or cheddar crumbles and freeze. Prep on the weekend, and pull a different setup each day as needed.
