Honeycomb, wave and java: SodaPup deep eBowl designs
Share
SodaPup's deep bowls, called eBowls, come in six designs, and pairing them with our freeze-dried treats creates enriching meals. Each pattern creates a different maze that makes mealtime engaging. Whether your dog prefers geometric patterns, nature designs or textured finishes, there's an eBowl that matches your dog's style.
The hexagon honeycomb pattern
The Honeycomb eBowl ($21.99) has a detailed hexagon maze that resembles a honeycomb. It's available in yellow or blue and measures about 8 by 8 inches, 2 inches deep, holding 4 cups of food. The tiny hexagon ridges create an intricate puzzle that keeps medium to large dogs engaged through the entire meal.
Hexagons pack tightly, so your dog has to navigate a complex path to get each bite. This design works especially well for dogs who eat too fast or who need mental stimulation during meals.
The wave pattern eBowl
The Wave eBowl ($21.99) features undulating ridges that resemble waves. It's made from TPE and comes in blue, with the same 8 by 8 inch, 2 inch deep dimensions as the honeycomb version. The wave pattern is less intricate than the honeycomb but still effective for slowing dogs down.
Wave patterns are smooth to navigate compared to hexagons, making this eBowl a good choice for older dogs or dogs new to slow feeders. The ridges still slow eating, but the wider spaces between waves are easier for dogs with less dexterity to work through.
The speckled java eBowl
The Java eBowl ($21.99) has a coffee-inspired speckled finish with maze ridges underneath. It comes in one color, speckled Java, and measures 8 by 8 inches, 2 inches deep, holding 4 cups. The visual texture of the speckles combined with the ridge maze makes this bowl stand out among SodaPup's lineup.
The java design is as functional as the others but offers a unique aesthetic for owners who want their dog's bowl to look distinctive. The underlying maze pattern still challenges your dog's eating speed.
Choosing the right eBowl for your dog
All three bowls hold the same amount, measure the same size, and are made from durable USA-made TPE. The difference is in the maze pattern. If your dog is a power eater, the honeycomb's intricate hexagons will slow them down the most. If your dog is new to slow feeders or has sensitivity to complex mazes, the wave or java patterns offer a gentler introduction.
All eBowls work for dry food, wet food, or a mix. The deep design holds larger meals without spilling, and the maze pattern grabs all types of food equally well.
Building mealtime enrichment
Fill your chosen eBowl with your dog's regular meal and add crumbled freeze-dried treats into the maze ridges from freeze-dried treats. Your dog will hunt for treats while eating their regular food, turning mealtime into an engaging activity. This approach also lets you control portions while keeping your dog mentally stimulated.

Questions
Which pattern slows eating the most?
The honeycomb pattern with its tiny hexagons creates the most challenge. Your dog has to navigate the smallest spaces to get each bite. If your dog masters the honeycomb, they're working their mind as hard as their mouth during meals.
Do all eBowls come in multiple colors?
The honeycomb and wave bowls come in two colors each. The java bowl comes in one speckled color. All three are made with the same durable TPE and offer the same functionality regardless of color choice.
Can I rotate between different bowl patterns?
Yes. Rotating between different maze patterns keeps mealtime novel for your dog and challenges them in new ways. If your dog gets bored with one pattern, switching to a different eBowl renews their interest in the enrichment.
Are these bowls loud when dogs eat?
TPE material is quiet compared to ceramic or stainless steel bowls. Dogs licking the ridges produce minimal noise, which makes these bowls suitable even for homes where quiet meals matter.
