Silicone slow feeder trays with suction cups for dogs

Pair the Mandala Softie with our freeze-dried treats for enriched mealtimes. Suction cups on a slow feeder bowl are not required, but they keep the tray from sliding under the table when your dog pushes into it during a meal.

Why suction cups matter on a slow feeder

Most dogs lean and push into their food bowl. On a hard floor, a lightweight silicone tray can migrate across the kitchen with each shove. Suction cups anchor the tray so your dog works the ridges instead of sliding the whole thing around. You waste less kibble and avoid needing to reposition the bowl mid-meal. The tray stays put, and your dog gets consistent enrichment.

The Mandala Softie difference

The Mandala Softie uses softer silicone than the regular Mandala eTray. This extra flexibility helps the suction cups grip better on tile, vinyl, or polished concrete. The pattern is the same geometric mandala design, just in a softer material. SodaPup describes it as an upgrade for active eaters and dogs who push hard on their bowls.

Colors and fit

The Mandala Softie comes in Pastel Purple, Pastel Green, and Pastel Pink, each at $19.99. The tray measures about 8 inches across and works for dogs of most sizes. The suction cups activate on any smooth floor surface. Textured floors like rough concrete will not hold suction, so placement matters for effectiveness.

Comparing the slow feeder trays

If you have a smooth kitchen floor and a dog who slides bowls, the Mandala Softie is worth the upgrade cost. If your floor is textured or your dog is settled at mealtime, the regular Garden Design eTray, Mandala eTray, or Waiting Dogs eTray work just fine without suction cups. All are made in the USA from durable silicone.

Suction cups and freeze-dried treats

Suction cups do not interfere with loading treats into the tray. Crumble our freeze-dried treats into the ridges as you normally would. The suction cups keep the tray anchored while your dog works both the slow-feed maze and the treat crumbles. The combination of suction and enrichment means a slower, more engaged mealtime.

How it ships

SodaPup products are sold through Shopify Collective and shipped to you directly by SodaPup in Longmont, Colorado, usually within one business day, with their own tracking. Not made or shipped by Sniff and Shift. Our freeze-dried treats are made in Malvern, Pennsylvania and ship separately from us.

Questions

Do the suction cups stay on after the dishwasher?

Yes. The suction cups are permanent parts of the tray, not glued on. They survive the dishwasher and last as long as the bowl itself.

Can I use a slow feeder tray with suction cups on a rug or feeding mat?

Not with suction activated. The Mandala Softie needs a hard, smooth surface to create a seal. Use it on tile, vinyl, or concrete floors. If you prefer to feed on a mat, skip the suction cups and use any of the non-Softie trays.

What happens if the suction cups fail over time?

The tray still works as a slow feeder even if suction fails. The ridges pace the meal. Only the "staying put" feature is lost, and you can always place it in a larger tray if sliding becomes an issue.

Is the Softie silicone thicker or just softer?

It is softer, which makes suction cups more effective, but not necessarily thicker. The softness helps flex and grip rather than stay rigid and inflexible.

Can I freeze the Mandala Softie eTray?

Yes. The softer silicone goes in the freezer like the regular trays. Freeze peanut butter mixed with freeze-dried treat crumbles in the ridges for an icy enrichment session.
