3D 500 ACA X-Tra Cut Compound, Quart

This is step one, the heavy cut. 3D ACA 500 is a body shop compound built on the maker Alpha Ceramic Alumina technology, and 3D says it cuts P1000 grit sandpaper or finer and removes sanding marks, deep scratches, oxidation and water spots by leveling the paint surface. It is a low dusting formula, which keeps the workspace and the panel cleaner, and the maker states it works with both dual action and rotary machines so it fits whatever you already own.

Work it with a foam or wool pad on a small section, keep the pad clean, and check your progress often rather than chasing a defect blindly. Follow with a finishing polish, since a cutting compound leaves its own haze by design. This is the quart, the size for a full car correction or for a garage that does this more than once a year. Wipe residue with a clean microfiber before it dries.
