3D GLW Iron Remover, 64 oz

3D GLW Iron Remover is the decontamination step between washing a car and protecting it. Iron particles from brake dust and rail dust embed themselves in paint and wheels and keep working long after the surface looks clean, and 3D lists this as loosening embedded iron oxide particles, fallout, brake dust, traffic pollution and road film so they rinse away instead of staying put.

It is a spray on and rinse off product. 3D says to prep the surface with the iron remover, leave it for thirty seconds to a minute, then wash it off. You get a visible read while it works: the spray bleeds purple as it reacts with iron, so you can see exactly how contaminated a wheel or a lower panel was. 3D describes it as acid free and lists it as suitable for all wheel types including painted, chrome, polished and coated aluminum, stock or aftermarket, and on automotive clear coats and paints.
