3D GLW SiO2 Ceramic Trim Restore, Pint

Gray, chalky plastic trim ages a car faster than tired paint does. The 3D GLW Series SiO2 Ceramic Trim Restore is made for exactly that, and 3D says it revives faded and weathered trim, plastic molding and bumpers to an ultra deep dark finish. The ceramic Silicon Dioxide formula adds hydrophobic properties and UV protection, which is what slows the fading from starting again. The maker describes the finish as dry to the touch and non greasy.

Clean and dry the trim first so the product goes onto plastic rather than onto road film. Apply with an applicator pad or a microfiber towel, keep it off the paint, and wipe back any overlap while it is still wet. 3D says it gets deep into the surface rather than sitting on top, so the color comes back rather than being painted on. This is the pint, a 16 fl oz bottle, which is more than enough for a full car.
