3D HYDRO-FIL Ultra-Thick 1200 GSM Drying Towel, 20 x 40 in

This is the extra large HYDRO-FIL, a 1200 GSM microfiber drying towel measuring 20 by 40 inches and blended 80 percent polyester to 20 percent polyamide. 3D rates it at roughly two gallons of absorbency. In practice that means the towel keeps taking water instead of turning into a soaked rag halfway down the car, and its scratch free face is what you want touching a freshly washed clear coat.

Pat or glide it across the panel rather than scrubbing, and let the absorbency do the work instead of pressure. Fold it into quarters so you always have a dry face to turn to. At 20 by 40 inches a single pass clears a large section of paint, so most cars dry in a handful of passes. Wash microfiber separately from cotton with a detergent made for microfiber, skip the fabric softener because it kills absorbency, and dry on low heat.
