3D Magic Blue Tire Dressing, 16 oz

This is the 16 oz trigger bottle of 3D Magic Blue, the home garage size of the tire dressing detail shops buy by the pail. It is solvent based, and 3D says that is what makes it "highly water-resistant" compared with a water based dressing that a single rainstorm rinses off. The maker describes the result as a deep, dark black shine and claims it "Keeps tires looking black for weeks, not days".

Clean and dry the tire first, because a dressing over brown film just seals the brown in. Then apply with a foam applicator rather than spraying the tire directly, which keeps overspray off the paint and the wheel face. 3D calls the formula "High-viscosity" and "No run, no sling", so it stays put once it sets. A 16 oz bottle covers a lot of tires because the amount per tire is small. 3D lists the same dressing in 1 gallon and a 5 gallon pail for higher volume work.
