3D Magic Blue Tire Dressing, Gallon

3D Magic Blue in the gallon is the refill size, bought once the 16 oz bottle has proved itself. It is a solvent based dressing, and 3D describes the formula as "Long lasting" and "highly water-resistant", which is the practical difference from a water based tire shine that goes dull the first time the car sees rain. The maker also lists it as "High-viscosity" with a "No run, no sling formula".

Wash and dry the tire first, or clean it with a wheel and tire cleaner, because dressing over brown film locks the film in. Decant into a smaller bottle or pour onto a foam applicator, wipe it on evenly and wipe off the excess. Beyond tires, 3D lists it for exterior plastic and vinyl trim, moldings, wheel wells and splash guards, so the gallon gets used on more than four corners. At a gallon you are buying for a household with several vehicles or a side business. A 5 gallon pail is also listed.
