3D Marine & RV Cutting Compound, Quart

This is 3D Car Care’s heavy cutting compound for gel coat rather than clear coat, which is a different material with different problems. 3D formulated it with their Adaptive Abrasive Technology and states it provides a fast cut on gel coat finishes, removing up to 1000P grit scratches. The bottle lists heavy oxidation and surface stains alongside those sanding marks, the chalky dull finish a boat or an RV picks up after a few seasons in the sun.

3D says it delivers a wide range of cut depending on whether you run it on wool or on foam, so the same bottle covers the aggressive first pass and a gentler correction. The label also notes a low dust formula for easier cleanup. Expect to follow it with a polish for the final gloss, since a cutting compound’s job ends at defect removal. This is the 32 fluid ounce quart bottle, enough for a hull side or a full RV panel run.
