3D Super Pre-Soak, 64 oz

A pre soak is the step before the soap, and it exists because a wash mitt should never be the thing that removes road film. 3D describes Super Pre-Soak as a "High pH, strong degreasing pre-soak formula" that "chemically cleans the exterior of a car by chemically dissolving any dirt, oily road film and any other accumulation of contamination before washing with a normal car wash soap". The label adds that it removes grease, road film and dirt without dulling the painted finish, and rinses off easily.

Use it as the first step of a thorough wash: dilute, apply over the whole exterior, let it dwell without drying, rinse, then wash normally with soap. 3D also positions it as the prep wash before paint correction or any exterior detailing work, where starting from a genuinely clean panel decides the result. This is the 64 oz Nano Pail concentrate, and the label states it makes 5 gallons, which is why a bottle this size covers a lot of cars. Follow the dilution printed on the label.
