P&S Ballistic Max Cut Compound, Gallon

Ballistic is the heavy end of the P&S correction range. P&S calls it "a max cutting heavy duty compound designed to provide sufficient cutting capabilities for use on harder paint finishes and gel coat," developed to take out 1000 grit sanding scratches or finer along with oxidation, fallout, water spots and other surface irregularities. This is the step before a finish polish, not a one bottle answer.

P&S says it "can be used with rotary or high action DA polishers with either wool or foam cutting pads," and that it is "safe for use on all paint finishes." The gallon is the volume size, so it suits a shop working through cars weekly or an enthusiast who has settled on a process and stopped buying pints. Follow it with a finish polish if you want the gloss to come all the way back after the cut.
