P&S Bead Maker Paint Protectant, 5 Gallon

P&S describes Bead Maker as using binding polymer monomer technology "to produce a water beading, brilliant, long lasting finish," and explains the mechanism as a surface migrating molecule that attaches to the paint surface, then cross links and polymerizes to build a hydrophobic durable layer of protection. It is the last step of a wash rather than a job of its own.

P&S says Bead Maker "may be applied to wet or dry vehicles and is safe to spray all exterior surfaces," and that it includes UV protection through a combination of a UV filter and UV stabilizers. Cure time is "essentially two hours depending upon ambient conditions." At 5 gallons this is a shop purchase or a buy once decision for a busy home bay, refilling quart spray bottles rather than replacing them. Spread thin and wipe to clear, since more product does not mean more protection.
