P&S Bead Maker Paint Protectant, Gallon

Bead Maker is the spray on paint protectant that made the P&S name with home detailers. P&S says it "makes paint protection easier and faster than ever before" and that its formulation "allows for quick spray application," using binding polymer monomer technology to produce a water beading, brilliant, long lasting finish. The mechanism they describe is a surface migrating molecule that attaches to the paint, then cross links and polymerizes to build a hydrophobic layer.

It can be applied to wet or dry vehicles, which is why most people use it as the last step of a wash: spray a panel, spread with a towel, wipe to clear. P&S says it "is safe to spray all exterior surfaces" and includes UV protection through a combination of a UV filter and UV stabilizers. Cure time is "essentially two hours depending upon ambient conditions," so keep the car dry that long. The gallon is the refill size for topping up spray bottles.
