P&S Extractor Shampoo, 5 Gallon

Extractor Shampoo is the machine concentrate P&S Detail Products makes for carpet extractors. P&S calls it "a foam free, 60 to 1 concentrate (2 ounces per gallon of water), rug and upholstery cleaner for use with carpet extraction machines" and states that it is "safe on all colors and pH balanced for use on all carpet materials." Foam free matters here, because a foaming soap in an extractor tank fills the recovery side with suds instead of dirty water.

To use it, mix Extractor Shampoo with water at the stated 60 to 1 ratio, roughly two ounces per gallon, and pour it into the solution tank of your machine. P&S recommends pre spotting heavily soiled or greasy areas with its Enviro Clean before you shampoo. This is the five gallon size, which at 60 to 1 is bulk stock for a shop or a very committed home bay rather than a one weekend purchase.
