P&S Extractor Shampoo, Gallon

Extractor Shampoo is made for a machine, not a spray bottle. P&S describes it as "a foam free, 60 to 1 concentrate, rug and upholstery cleaner for use with carpet extraction machines." Foam free is the important word: a soap that foams inside an extractor fills the recovery tank with suds and stops the machine pulling water back out of the carpet.

The dilution is on the label and P&S states it clearly, "2 ounces per gallon of water," which is where the 60 to 1 comes from. Their directions: "Simply mix Extractor Shampoo with water and add to solution tank of your extractor machine," and use Enviro Clean to pre spot carpets in areas of heavily concentrated dirt or grease before shampooing. P&S also states that "Extractor Shampoo is safe on all colors and pH balanced for use on all carpet materials." A gallon makes a lot of solution at that ratio.
