P&S Pearl Auto Shampoo, Gallon

Pearl is P&S's concentrated auto shampoo, and the gallon is the size that fits a home wash routine without running out by August. Because it is a concentrate, you are dosing a capful or two into a bucket rather than pouring soap by the cup. P&S calls Pearl "Environmentally friendly, pH balanced, 100% biodegradable and safe to use for all washing applications," and says it is "easy on the finish of vehicles and easy on your hands." We quote that rather than claim it. The practical point is the foam stability and lubricity P&S credits the formula with, which is what lets a mitt slide over paint instead of grinding along it.

Use it in a two bucket wash: soap in one, clean rinse water in the other, and work top down so the dirtiest panels come last. P&S notes Pearl "may be used by hand or be proportioned through a dilution device for hand or machine use," so a foam cannon or a proportioner works as well as a bucket. A gallon of concentrate goes a long way, which is the whole reason to buy the bigger jug.
