P&S Tru Vue Concentrated Glass Cleaner, Gallon

Tru Vue is the glass cleaner in the P&S ChemTrol line, made by P&S, and it is a concentrate rather than a ready to use spray. The maker describes it as "an excellent and effective water based glass cleaner that removes road film, smoke and dirt." Road film is the real target: the greasy haze that builds on the inside of a windshield and turns every oncoming headlight into a starburst.

P&S states the dilution range directly. Tru Vue "may be diluted anywhere from 4:1 up to 10:1 depending upon desired performance," so you can mix it strong for a neglected windshield and weaker for routine work. The maker also notes it is "perfect for both hot and cold weather applications with longer working time for hot weather and fast enough evaporation for cold climates," which is a genuine difference in a New Jersey July or a February morning. Use two towels: one to clean, one dry to buff, and do the inside and outside passes in different directions so you know which side a streak is on. A gallon of concentrate makes a great deal of finished cleaner.
