Undressed is the step most people skip and then blame the dressing for. P&S states it penetrates and removes layers of road dirt, oil and grime from the tire surface to brighten raised white lettering and whitewalls, using alkaline cleaning solutions, water based solvents and detergents. They call it the best preparation for cleaning tires prior to dressing, and, in their own words, the best and most effective tire cleaner on the market. The label describes it as stripping old dressing buildup from the sidewall.

Work on a cool tire out of direct sun. Wet the sidewall, apply the product, agitate with a stiff tire brush until the foam turns brown, then rinse thoroughly and repeat on a tire that has years of silicone dressing on it. A tire is only truly clean when the rinse water runs clear and the rubber looks dull brown rather than shiny. Dress it once it is dry. This is the one gallon jug. P&S also lists Undressed in a 5 gallon.

Sidewalls collect the same mud your dog does. Ours gets hosed off next to the wheels and then hustled inside for our freeze dried dog treats.
