RBL GEOTek Engineered Abrasives SD6-3000, 6 in, 15 Discs

GEOTek Engineered Abrasives are RBL Products' wet sanding discs, and this is the 3000 grit version on a six inch foam disc. RBL describes discs with a geometrically distributed structure, which is the design claim behind the rest of the pitch: that technicians can use any dual action sander, and especially lighter models, instead of heavy polishers. For anyone who has spent an afternoon holding a heavy machine at shoulder height, that is the part worth reading twice.

RBL states that users will enjoy decidedly fewer heavy swirl marks, burn through, and other defects usually associated with more aggressive sanding, while boasting long pad life. At 3000 grit this is the refinement end of the range rather than the cutting end, the step that takes out the scratch pattern left by a coarser disc so the compounding stage has less work to do.
