This listing's title says dry dog food, but the label text and the maker's own page describe a canned, gravy-style recipe: Sierra Mountain Canine Recipe with Lamb in Gravy, a 13.2 ounce can, for puppies and adult dogs. A separate dry Sierra Mountain kibble carries different numbers; this covers only the canned recipe.
Taste of the Wild calls this a complement to its dry recipes that "can also be fed as your pet's sole diet," made with lamb, sweet potatoes and peas plus vegetables and fruits. Its page for this can states it is "formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for growth and maintenance except for growth of large size dogs (70 lbs. or more as an adult)," different from its dry kibble's statement.
First ingredients: lamb, lamb broth, beef broth, vegetable broth, pork liver, dried egg whites, potatoes and peas. Guaranteed analysis: crude protein not less than 8.0%, fat not less than 4.5%, fiber not more than 1.0%, moisture not more than 82.0% (typical of canned food), about 385 kcal per can. Feeding runs from about 1/4 to 1 can a day for a toy dog up to 2 3/4 to 4 3/4 cans for a large dog.
For treats to go alongside this bowl, see our freeze-dried dog treats, or compare this recipe with other kibble on our dog food comparison page.
