Matching Dog and Owner Pajama Gift Set

Two prints do two different jobs here, and the size ranges are the reason. Sweet Dreams runs dog and adult fits off one listing and goes all the way up to a 110 pound dog. Santa Sleighs runs dog and kid fits and stops at 28 pounds. Pick on that basis before you pick on the pattern, because a print you love in a size nobody in the house can wear is not a matching set.
The December photo, and what usually goes wrong with it
The picture takes four minutes if the dog stays in one place and forty if it does not. Most households discover this after everyone is dressed, which is why there is a lick mat in a clothing kit. A dressed dog standing on a loaded mat is a dog holding a position long enough for somebody to find the good angle. Sweet Dreams, the one with an adult fit
Good Thomas describes the Sweet Dreams Pajamas for dogs as matching the human pajama set, both printed with embroidered cherries on a retro checker pattern. Good Thomas says dog sizes run XS for 5 to 10 pound dogs through XXL for 71 to 110 pound dogs, and that the Unisex set runs XS through XXL. A 110 pound ceiling is unusual in this category. If you have a shepherd or a lab and you have been assuming dog pajamas do not come in that size, this is the listing that does. Santa Sleighs, for a small child in the frame
The second print starts with the dog too. Good Thomas describes the Santa Sleighs Pajama as opening with the dog's set, a snowboarding Santa print on soft stretchy cotton with an exposed zipper and vintage ribbing, matched to the same print in kid sizes. Good Thomas says dog sizes run extra small for 5 to 10 pound dogs through medium for 17 to 28 pound dogs, and kid sizes from small at 6 to 9 months up through extra large at 3 to 4 years. There is no adult fit on this one. That is worth saying plainly, because the obvious plan of three people and a dog in the same Santa print does not exist on this listing. Use Sweet Dreams for the adults and Santa Sleighs for the child and the dog if you want everybody in something.
The mat is the tripod
SodaPup describes the Honeycomb eMat as a yellow lick mat with a hexagon cell pattern, made for dogs, puppies and cats. SodaPup says it is made from TPE in two sizes, a small at about 4 by 4 inches and a large at about 8 by 8 inches. SodaPup says each hexagon cell traps peanut butter, yogurt, wet food or kibble softened with broth. Buy the large unless the dog is under about ten pounds. The small one gets cleared before anybody has found the light switch.

What is not in the kit
No hat and no bandana, and this is the one matching kit where we left the bandana out on purpose. A bandana under a pajama collar sits wrong and shows up in the photo as a lump. There is also no second adult print. The Groovin' Retro Pajama is the alternative in the drawer if the cherry checker is not the house style. Good Thomas describes it as starting with the dog's set in a rainbow stripe print on a soft stretchy cotton blend, matched to the same print in kid sizes.
The night before and the morning
- Weigh the dog and read the size chart on the listing. Do not order from the breed in your head.
- Choose the Fit option, then the size, then repeat on the same listing for the human or kid fit.
- Night before: load the mat, freeze it flat.
- Morning: dog's pajama on first, while everyone else is still in their own. Quiet room, no audience.
- Mat down where you want the dog to be. Everyone else gets dressed and joins the dog, rather than the other way round.
- Photos, then the pajama comes off the dog even if it stays on everybody else.
Take the pajama off once the photo is done. Loose fabric and a bored dog end the same way every time, and the exposed zipper on the Santa print is the part that gets chewed first.
What it replaces
A separate human pajama order in a print that nearly matches, plus the twenty minutes you would otherwise spend trying to make a dog stay on a rug. Both fits come off one product page with one print run, and the mat carries on being a useful object in February.
Questions
Will an adult and a dog really match
On Sweet Dreams, yes, because the dog fit and the Unisex fit are the same product in the same print. On Santa Sleighs the adult fit does not exist.
What size mat for a big dog
Large. SodaPup lists it at about 8 by 8 inches, and that is the one that holds a frozen load long enough to matter.
Are all the sizes usually in stock
Not always. Good Thomas lists 8 of 12 variants available on Sweet Dreams and 6 of 7 on Santa Sleighs at the time this was written, so check the size you need before you build the rest of the plan around it.
