Thirty minutes is the first real test. You go to the shop, the puppy is on its own for the first time, and what happens in that half hour sets the tone for the next month. Home alone dog toys are how you fill it with something other than waiting. This kit is two stuffable rubber toys and a mat, so a short absence has a shape to it instead of being a gap. Half an hour, and what it is actually for
The point is not to entertain the puppy for the whole time. It is to make the first ten minutes busy, because the first ten minutes are when a puppy decides how much of an event your leaving is.
After that, most puppies sleep. If yours does not, the answer is a shorter absence rather than a fourth toy, and that is worth knowing before you buy anything at all.
Three things to hand over, in order

Half the alone-time lists online start with a pet camera. They are genuinely interesting and most people watch them twice. Building up from two minutes
Start with the door, not with the car. Load the Can Toy, put it down, step outside, count to a hundred and twenty, come back in. If the puppy is still working on the toy, that was a success, and you do it again.
Stretch it over two weeks rather than a weekend. Two minutes, five, ten, then twenty, then the actual shop run. The mat comes in around the ten minute mark as the second act.

What usually happens is a toy a week until something sticks, and a box of rejects by Christmas. Two rubber shapes and one mat covers chewing, licking and working, which is most of what a puppy will do on its own. Rotate them out of sight between uses rather than leaving all three down, because a toy that is always available is furniture by day four. Should I leave the radio on?
It does no harm and some dogs clearly prefer it. Treat it as free rather than as a solution, and keep the volume at conversation level.
How do I know when thirty minutes is too long?
Watch what greets you at the door. A puppy that has slept looks rumpled and slow; a puppy that has been working the whole time is wired, and that means you stretched too far too fast. Go back a step for a few days.
Can I feed a whole meal out of these toys?
You can, and for a puppy that eats too fast it is a good use of a bowl-free meal. Count it against the day's food rather than adding it on top.
