The Naval Air Transport Plane's Nose Art at Terminal Takeover
Share
A red and white vintage twin radial engine transport plane, its nose hand-painted with a wide smiley face and partial Naval Air Transport lettering down the fuselage, became one of the most shared frames of Downshift Nation's Terminal Takeover at Reading Airport. The exact aircraft type is not confirmed beyond what the markings and shape show.

Ella sat centered on the plane's wheel with both propellers visible behind her, facing the smiley face straight on for the lead shot. A second angle caught her from behind facing the same plane, and a close third frame showed her name stitched on her harness with the fuselage blurred soft in the background.

Ella wears that harness on every stop, and a pouch of our freeze-dried beef liver is what earns the sit and stay in a spot this close to a propeller. For readers planning their own trip out to a show like this one, our town guide covers getting around from our side of the state.
A yellow-winged trainer parked nearby gets its own post here, and the full list of Ella's stops lives on our events board.
