Planes and Cars at Terminal Takeover 2026, Reading Airport

A grey Lamborghini Aventador and a McLaren shared hangar space with small propeller planes at Downshift Nation's Terminal Takeover, and the pairing is why Reading Airport works as a venue. The show sat on the rear side of Reading Regional Airport on General Spatz Drive in Reading, Pennsylvania, with vendors, VIP parking and premier parking staged in waves through the afternoon before spectator gates opened.

Ella, our shop dog, wandered into one of the widest frames of the day, dwarfed between two McLarens with a vintage propeller plane filling the background. It is one thing to line up supercars along a curb, and another to park them nose to nose with aircraft on an open apron, which is exactly what gave this year's Terminal Takeover its name.

The organizer, Downshift Nation, promised more planes for this new location, and the hangar rows delivered on it, with the Aventador rolling past a warehouse full of other show cars later in the day. Event sponsor BlackGlass, the organizer's posted sponsor, had a presence among the vendor booths that filled out the rest of the venue.
