RUPES D-A Coarse Wool Polishing Pad, 5 in

This is the current version of the RUPES D-A Coarse wool polishing pad, built for dual action tools and aimed squarely at severe paint defects. Wool cuts faster than foam because individual fibers work into the surface. What makes the coarse pad different from a plain wool disc is the blue foam behind it, which RUPES makes more rigid and dense so more of the tool's movement transfers into the work surface, increasing cutting power.

Run it with a coarse or medium compound as the first correction step on hard clear coats, heavy swirls, oxidation and sanding marks, then move to a foam pad to refine what it leaves behind. Keep the pad clean as you go, since wool loads up with spent product quickly. This is the 5 inch pad, which suits a 125 mm class backing plate on machines such as the LHR15 and LK900E. It arrives sealed in its RUPES retail bag.
