RUPES BigFoot Coarse Wool Pad 9.NW80H, 3 Inch

The RUPES 9.NW80H is the 80 mm, roughly 3 inch, BigFoot coarse wool polishing pad in blue. RUPES states that all the pads in the coarse wool range are constructed using two distinct fiber lengths, creating a dual density wool surface that gives a balance of cutting power and finishing ability. The blue foam behind the wool is the dense, rigid version, which is what carries tool movement into the paint instead of absorbing it. This is a cutting pad, listed for heavy defect removal.

Mount it on a matching RUPES backing plate, prime the wool lightly with your compound, and keep the pad flat and moving. Small pads run hot and cut fast, so clean the wool often with a pad brush or compressed air and check your work under a light before you move on. The 80 mm size is for pillars, bumper corners, and the panels a 6 inch pad cannot sit flat on. RUPES states this pad is engineered for gear driven orbital and random orbital BigFoot polishers.
