Wool cuts differently from foam, and RUPES built this coarse wool pad for severe paint defect removal on random orbital, gear driven and triple action polishers. The blue foam behind the wool is more rigid and dense, which RUPES says maximizes the translation of tool movement to the work surface and gives increased cutting power.

RUPES constructs the coarse wool range from two distinct fiber lengths, creating a dual density wool surface and the visible pattern you can see on the face. RUPES states this is more than an aesthetic detail and gives a better balance of cutting power and finishing ability than a traditional single density wool pad. This is the 9.BW180H at 150 by 170 mm, which RUPES lists for the LHR21 and the gear driven Mille LK900E. Wool loads fast, so clean it often during a heavy correction and let it dry fully before storage.
