RUPES D-A Fine Foam Polishing Pad, 4 in Yellow

The small yellow pad is what handles the parts of a car the big pad cannot. RUPES calls the D-A Fine foam pad the most versatile in the BigFoot range, with an effective rate of defect removal and the ability to finish to high gloss on most paint systems, and this is that same foam in the size that fits mirror caps, pillars, bumper corners and door handles.

The part number is 9.DA100M, listed by RUPES at 80 by 100 mm, which runs on a 3 inch backing plate. Pal Automotive notes it works with all dual action polishers. RUPES recommends pairing it with D-A Fine polishing compound for moderate to fine defect removal, paint refinement or final finishing after heavier compounding. Smaller pads concentrate pressure, so ease off and keep the machine moving on curved panels.
